Having always worked in fashion, Emily was particularly excited about dress shopping. “So many of my friends joke that I wear gowns on a daily basis, so I knew I wanted a dramatic gown rather than a dress,” she says. After trying on as many different styles as possible at Own Studio, Browns, Annie’s Ibiza, Vivienne Westwood and The Fall Bride, she realised she needed a little more direction. “I started by pulling together a moodboard of all the bridal looks I had saved on Instagram over the years,” she explains. “When I looked at everything together, I realised that more than half of the dresses I’d saved were from WED Studio. I’d always loved WED’s designs, and the ‘Ursa’ dress felt like the perfect balance of classic and timeless while still feeling modern and a little bit ‘cool’. The dress has beautiful ruching and a dropped waist.”
