WED offers a highly personal and exclusive experience for clients wishing to create a custom bridal gown or outfit.
The bespoke journey is a close collaboration with Amy and Evan, founders and creative directors of WED. Clients work directly with the designers and our London atelier, creating a dress that feels like you. This intimate and considered approach ensures your dress becomes one of the most meaningful garments you will ever own, designed with intention, care and individuality.
Custom Process
Our design process borrows from exquisite corpse, the game the Surrealists played on folded paper, each player drawing blind to what came before. The result was always something nobody could have designed alone.
At WED, our archive is the folded sheet. Each season we dissect what already exists, a bodice from one dress, a skirt from another, an entirely new neckline, and reassemble the parts into something new. Putting parts together that were designed apart is where the unexpected silhouette comes from.
Every WED dress carries the DNA of the ones before it. The brand playing the game with itself, season after season.Taking details from existing styles, adding volume, expanding, readjusting, blowing it up, shrinking it down, until it becomes something entirely new and entirely them.
